Sam Smith, age 84, of Dunlap, TN, died Friday, September 23, 2011 at Memorial Health Care System. He was a member of Community Chosen Church of God. He was preceded in death by wife, Mary Jane Smith; son, Terry Douglas Smith; daughter, Betty Lou Smith.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara (David) Bean, Pelham, TN and Judy Harville, Dunlap; son, Sammy (Debbie) Smith, Dunlap; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rayburn Dishman and Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Collier Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. In lieu of flowers, family request contributions be made to The American Heart Association. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Saturday 2:00-9:00 p.m. CDT.
