Willard Byrd, age 89 of Pikeville, died Thursday, September 1, 2011. He was a member of Bethel Church of Christ. Willard was preceded in death by a great-grandchild Madyson Vincent; four sisters Adeline Conatser, Dona Smith, Rachel Smith, and Katherine Franklin; three brothers John, Edward, and James Allen Byrd.
Survivors include wife of sixty-three years Betty 'Bet' Byrd; two daughters Merry (Clay) Greer and Judy (Jim) Vincent both of Dunlap; three sons Ronnie (Diana) Byrd, Pikeville; Danny (Dorcas) Byrd, Dunlap; Ricky (Donna) Byrd, Pikeville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Service will be Sunday at 2:00 pm CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. T. A. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
